PE-22-28 is a synthetic heptapeptide fragment derived from the neuroprotective protein Prohibitin (PHB). It was identified through screening of PHB-derived peptide fragments for anti-aging properties at the cellular level. PE-22-28 enhances cellular stress resistance and has been studied in the context of neuroprotection, anti-aging, and cognitive preservation. It is one of the newer nootropic peptides with limited but intriguing preclinical data.
