Vesugen (Lys-Glu-Asp, or KED tripeptide) is a synthetic bioregulatory peptide developed by Professor Vladimir Khavinson at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It is a short-chain tripeptide designed to target the vascular endothelium and support blood vessel function. Vesugen is part of the Khavinson bioregulator family of peptides, which are proposed to regulate gene expression in specific tissues.

Synthetic vascular bioregulator. Highly recommended for cardiovascular disease prevention. Human use has been published, but almost entirely by a single research group in Russian-language journals. None of it is registered on any trial registry and most reports were unblinded, so this evidence is far weaker than a controlled trial. This is the ORAL capsule dose and is not an injection dose. Oral peptide absorption is poor, so this figure is far higher than the injectable protocol on purpose. Do not inject this amount.

How it works

Proposed to act as a gene-regulatory peptide that penetrates cell membranes and interacts with DNA promoter sequences in vascular endothelial cells, modulating expression of genes involved in endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), prostacyclin production, and vessel wall structural proteins.

May support vascular homeostasis by promoting endothelial cell proliferation and repair while reducing endothelial dysfunction markers. Khavinson's research suggests short peptides can epigenetically regulate tissue-specific gene expression patterns.

The tripeptide sequence (Lys-Glu-Asp) is proposed to have specificity for vascular tissue based on computational modeling of peptide-DNA interactions, distinguishing it from other bioregulators that target different organs.
