Pinus pollen · Scots Pine Pollen
Pine Pollen is the male reproductive substance from pine trees (typically Pinus massoniana, Pinus sylvestris, or other species). Used in TCM for centuries for vitality and longevity. How it works
Pine Pollen has multiple components:
Naturally Occurring Androgens
Contains ~80mcg testosterone per gram of pine pollen. Also DHEA, androstenedione, androsterone. Absolute amount delivered per dose is small but measurable.
Phytoandrogens
Plant-derived androgenic compounds with weak androgen receptor activity.
Brassinosteroids
Plant steroids with putative anabolic effects in animal models.
Nutrient Density
Rich in B-vitamins, vitamin E, K, amino acids, trace minerals.
Cracked Cell Wall
Pine pollen has tough cell walls; cracked-cell-wall processing improves bioavailability of intracellular compounds.
What to expect
Days 1-14: subtle subjective effects.
Weeks 4-8: peak benefits.
Long-term continuous use traditional.
