Grape polyphenol complex refers to standardized extracts of red grape polyphenols, primarily anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins (oligomeric procyanidins, OPCs), as well as resveratrol and other stilbenes. These polyphenols are concentrated in grape skins, seeds, and stems - particularly in red wine grape varieties (Vitis vinifera). Most clinical extracts come from grape seed/skin (high in OPCs and resveratrol) or whole-fruit extracts.,VINIA (BioHarvest) is a notable proprietary form using a unique cell-culture biotechnology to produce standardized red grape cells with high concentrations of piceid (a glycosylated form of resveratrol with better bioavailability), anthocyanins, and other polyphenols.
