Eleuthero (Eleutherococcus senticosus, formerly called 'Siberian Ginseng') is an adaptogen from the Araliaceae family - related to but distinct from Panax Ginseng. Active compounds are eleutherosides (different chemical class than ginsenosides). Russian-developed adaptogen research established its use for athletic performance, fatigue, and stress resistance.

How it works

Eleutherosides have multiple effects:

HPA Axis Modulation

Reduces cortisol response to stress.

Mild Sympathomimetic

Modest energy and alertness without stimulation magnitude of caffeine.

Immune Modulation

NK cell activation in some studies.

Anti-Fatigue

Improved physical and mental endurance markers.

Distinct from Panax

Different chemistry (eleutherosides vs ginsenosides) and milder effect profile.
