Adamax is a Russian-developed synthetic peptide neuroregulator, structurally derived from a brain peptide and sharing chemistry with the broader Russian neuropeptide family (Selank, Semax, Cortagen, Cortexin). Specifically: Adamax is a tetra/heptapeptide with anxiolytic, neurotrophic, and modest cognitive effects in Russian Federation research settings. Limited Western clinical literature; available as a research chemical primarily through Russian and Eastern European peptide suppliers.

How it works

Adamax mechanism is incompletely characterized in Western literature. Russian publications describe:

GABA Modulation

Like Selank, modest GABAergic activity contributing to anxiolytic effects.

BDNF Upregulation

Reported to increase BDNF expression in rodent brain - mechanistic basis for putative neurotrophic claims.

Stress Resistance

Improved performance on stress-paradigm tests in rodents (forced swim, elevated plus maze).

Linear Peptide Stability

Linear short peptide; reasonably stable in storage. No Met or Cys residues - no GHK-Cu chemistry conflict.

Intranasal CNS Access

Like Selank/Semax, intranasal route enables direct nasal-to-brain transport bypassing the blood-brain barrier.

What to expect

Early
Days 1–7

Days 1-7: subtle anxiolytic onset.

Mid
Weeks 2–4

Weeks 1-2: peak anxiolytic and putative neurotrophic effect.

Later
Weeks 4–12

Weeks 2-4: end of typical cycle; effects fade after discontinuation.

Claims we could not support

No abstract we checked supports these for this molecule at this route. That is not the same as saying they are false — it marks where the evidence is missing.

Dose/route: 100-200 mcg per nostril intranasally 1-2x daily or SubQ. No checked PubMed/PMC abstract for Adamax peptide administration was found.

Mechanism. The PubMed search term resolved only to unrelated AdaMax optimizer papers; no peptide record with a usable abstract was found.

Primary safety concern. No human or animal PubMed abstract for the claimed peptide was found.

Side effects & safety

Commonly reported

  • Mild nasal irritation (intranasal route)
  • Mild headache (early doses)
  • Possible mild sedation

Less common & notes

  • Long-term safety not characterized in Western populations.
  • Allergic reactions rare.
  • Russian neuropeptide class has generally good safety profile in published literature but Western-grade safety data is limited.
