N-Acetyl Epitalon
N-Acetyl Epithalon · NA-Epitalon · NA-Epithalon
N-Acetyl Epitalon (N-Ac-Epi) is the N-terminally acetylated form of Epitalon, a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) developed by the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology under Prof. Vladimir Khavinson. Native Epitalon is one of the original 'Cytogen' / 'Citamine' synthetic peptides modeled on naturally-occurring tissue-specific bioregulators isolated from animal organs (in this case, the pineal gland). The N-acetylation modification was introduced to improve bioavailability and metabolic stability vs the native peptide.
Russian convention: 10-20 day pulse cycles, repeat every 6 months. Evening dosing common (pineal/melatonin alignment). Reconstitute bac water; refrigerate.

How it works
N-Acetyl Epitalon's putative mechanism centers on pineal-targeted peptide biology characteristic of the Russian Cytogen family:
Telomerase Activation (Russian Reports)
Russian publications report telomerase activity upregulation in fibroblast cell cultures with Epitalon/N-Ac-Epi treatment - the basis of telomere/longevity claims.
Pineal Gland Modulation
Epitalon and N-Ac-Epi are reported to enhance melatonin synthesis and normalize circadian rhythm in aged animals - related to the pineal-targeted bioregulator framework.
N-Acetylation Stability
The N-terminal acetyl group resists aminopeptidase degradation, extending plasma half-life from native Epitalon's very short (~30 min) to N-Ac-Epi's ~3-5 hours.
Cytogen Framework
Russian peptide research views these short peptides as 'tissue-specific bioregulators' - putatively bind chromatin DNA and modulate gene expression in their target tissue (pineal, in this case). Western mechanistic validation is limited.
No Met or Cys
Linear short peptide without sulfur-containing residues - chemistry-compatible with copper-conjugated peptides like GHK-Cu.
What to expect
Days 1-7: subtle sleep effects.
Days 7-20: peak pulse effect.
Months post-pulse: putative longevity effects (uncharacterized in humans).

Claims we could not support
No abstract we checked supports these for this molecule at this route. That is not the same as saying they are false — it marks where the evidence is missing.
Dose/route: 5-10mg; SubQ injection or intranasal; 1x daily during pulse cycle. No checked live PubMed abstract verified this exact displayed dose, route, and frequency for the same molecule/formulation and relevant population.
