How it works

Identical to other estradiol preparations - ER-alpha and ER-beta agonism driving transcription at estrogen response elements. The difference is formulation: Climara's rate-controlling matrix sustains delivery for a full 7 days per application, reducing user burden from ~104 patch changes/year (twice-weekly) to 52.
